Dr. Ralph Moon is the Owner of Ralph E. Moon Consulting LLC., an insurance services
company that investigates water-related damage for insurance claims. Dr. Moon specialized in
the origin, cause, and duration of loss and is actively involved in litigation services.
Dr. Moon’s research has included the effectiveness of cleaning methods to remove mold from
fabrics and the sequential deterioration of a wide variety of wood materials, wood flooring and
corrosion on common building components and plumbing materials.
Dr. Moon’s research is used to interpret the consequences of constant and repeated moisture
exposure and provides science-based and peer-reviewed research to support decisions on
insurance coverage.
During the past 18 years, Dr. Moon has presented his research to attendees at hundreds of
insurance-related conferences, educational seminars, and academic congresses.
Dr. Moon is a graduate of Western Michigan University and the University of South Florida; his
office is in Tampa, Florida.
